Per Duncan, Manning still plans to speak with the Broncos general manager John Elway before making any type of public statement regarding his intentions. Elway had stated last month that the Broncos would like for Manning to return despite a late-season decline in production and a divisional playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts. If Mannings slump was mostly due to a thigh injury that he was trying to keep under wraps, then it would appear the franchise still has faith in his arm strength moving forward. If Manning makes a go of it for one more year, hell likely rack up the 2,148 passing yards he needs to break former quarterback Brett Favres NFL record within the first half of the 2015 season.
